Identify how they were used in the sentence and put your own interpretation to the meaning of the word. After that, you can look up the real meaning in the dictionary and see if you understood the word correctly. Once you have increased your reading pace and accumulated more vocabulary words, you can move to more difficult reading pieces such as short stories or novels.

One of them is books. As mentioned earlier, books can help you pick up words that you are not familiar with. Aside from books, magazines, blogs, and newspapers also help. Vocabulary software can also be downloaded into your computer, tablet or cell phone. Tweak the software to show you the number of words you want to learn in one day. Listen to the words and what they mean repeatedly. Repetitive learning can enhance retention.
